Biography: Edith B. Witt was the only child of John and Mary (Dorsey) Witt. She was born in August of 1913.At the time
of her death in 1921 she was only seven years old, cause of her death was Acute Endocanditis and a contributary factor
was Mital Heart Diease. the obituary taken out of the Baltimore Sun read as follows:" Witt---- on April 10, 1921 EDITH
B., only and beloved daughter of John A. and Mary A. Witt (nee Dorsey), age 7 years and 6 months. (Hagerstown papers please
copy). Funeral from her parents residence 460 Brunswick Street. Thursday at
8:30 A.M. thence to St. Benedict's Church where an Angel Mass will be said for the repose of her soul at 9 o'clock Relatives
and friends are invited to attend. Interment in New Catheral Cemetery." It must have been devastating to Uncle John
and Aunt May to loose their only child at so young of an age. I never remember Aunt May talking about her, I guess it
was to hard to do.
