Biography: George was born to Charles and Lillian Dorsey (Smith) on December 21, 1922. His father died when George was only 12 years old. George also saw service in World War II. George met and married Mary Beatrice, and they had four children together (Charles, Diane, Larry, David.) After the war he became a Baltimore City Fire Fighter following in his father's footsteps. Most of his career was spent at Truck # 10 which was located on Lafayette Ave. in Southwest Baltimore. It was and still is one of the busiest Truck Co.'s in Baltimore City. Later in his career he became a Red Car Driver for the 4th Battalion. I never forget the time when I was on the same fire as George and he accindently locked the car keys in the red car while it was still running and we had to get one of the kids in the neighborhood to open it for us with a coat hanger. George was also very active in the Knights of Columbus. George passed away on February 21, 1991
