Biography: William Gibbs Ross was a native of Cork Ireland and came to this country in approximately 1807; in 1818 he
married Mary T. Heuisler and had at least two children together. He died in 1846. There is no information about his time in
Ireland, such as , when he was born and who his parents were.We do not know if he came to this country by himself or if some
one came with him. We found the death of William Gibbs Ross in the obituary of the Baltimore Sun Papers, it read, " on the
19th instant, william Gibbs Ross, Native of Cork Ireland, but for the last thirty six years aresident of the city of Baltimore."
