Biography: Myrtle was the daughter of William and Lizzie (Dorsey) Vansant, she was born in 1893 and was baptised in St Jerome's Catholic Church. After the death of Elizabeth (Dorsey) Vansant in 1897 the family came upon hard times and Myrtle was no exception Myrtle was married in 1918 to Paul Griffin. They were married at St Martin's Catholic Church,  and they had one child together; after which she abondon them in 1921, moving back with her Aunt Catherine Lochboehler. Her husband, Paul, filed for divorce and was granted full custody of thier only son. The divorice was granted on December 9, 1925. Myrtle went to work for the B&O Railroad until her death in July 1933. Myrtle was 39 years of age when she died..Her death certificate cannot be read for the cause of death.The obituary as taken out of the Baltimore Sun reads as follows:  Griffin---------  On July 21, 1933, Myrtle Vansant Griffin beloved daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Dorsey Vansant.         Funeral from the home of her aunt, Mrs. Catherine Lochboehler, 2005 West Baltimore Street, on Monday at 8:30 a.m. Requiem High Mass at St. Martin's Church at 9:00a.m. Interment in Catheral Cemetery. Myrtle was buried on July 24, 1933 in New Catheral Cemetery
