Here I'll include a picture of this family member, if I have one available.
Biography:Mary was the oldest child of Samuel and Agnes (Ross) Magaha. On August 15, 1869 she married Augustus and had
two children with him, (Wilmer and Arthur F. Clark). Augustus died in 1878 at 36 years of age.Mary then moved in with her
mother on Fort Ave, until she met and married her second husband William Cook in March of 1884. They had nine children together.
We have not been able to find all the names of their children, but we have found most of them. Shortly after William and Mary
were married they moved to 1110 Ridgley Street and stayed there until their deaths. On her death certificate she was listed
as having no occupation , but in the 1880 census she was listed as a tailorless. Since there is no 1890 census we do
not know when her two sons from her first marriage moved away from her, but in the 1900 census Arthur F. Clark is shown as
being married for two years. Mary's William died in 1944 after sixty years of marriage. Mary followed him four years later
in 1948 at the grand old age of 94. Mary Cook (Magaha) died on March 4, 1948 She was the first child of Sam and Agnes,
but outlived all her sibilings. Her death certificate states that she died of coronary insufficiency to arterial scherosis.
Also according to her death certificate she had uterine cancer. Her body was interred on March 8, 1948 in Mount Olivet Cemetery
on Frederick Ave in southwest Baltimore. Her funeral was held at St. Jerome's Church. She is buried there with her husband
William.
