Biography: Thomas James Dorsey was the son of John and Catherine (Lillis) Dorsey, and that is all we know about him. He was born in 1855 but he didn't show up in the 1860 census for John and Catherine. The only reason we know about him is his Christening Record from St Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, which is located at Hollins and Poppleton Sts in Southwest Baltimore. According to the Christening Record Thomas was born on the 27 of July 1855 and was baptized on the 28 July 1855. Looking at other Christening records children were never baptized that quick. So he probably died as an infant. At that time their were no death certificates.
