Biography: Myrtle Dorsey was the daughter of Michael John and Elizabeth (Bessie) (Kayne) Dorsey. She was born in September of 1890 and was baptized at St Gregory the Great Catholic Church. She met and married John J. Thomas. They were married sometime around 1920 and they had five children together. Her death certificate had her listed as a housewife.At the time of her death she was living at 2664 W. Park Dr. Pikesville, Maryland. Myrtle died in September of 1974 cause of her death was listed as Cardiogenic shock, myocardial infraction. She was laid to rest in Druid Ridge Cemetery located in Pikesville, Maryland. her obituary read as follows: Thomas--------- On September 4, 1974, Myrtle (nee Dorsey) of Pikesville, beloved wife of the late John J. Thomas, mother of John, James, Hugh D., Mrs. Alice Sweetman, and Mary Thomas. Also survived by thirteen grandchildren.               Friends may callat the Newell Funeral Home 1100 Reistertown Rd., Pikesville, on Thursday and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where Christian Wake Service will be held Friday Evening at 7:00p.m.. Requiem Mass will be held in St Charle's Church, Pikesville on Saturday at 9:00a.m. Interment in Druid Ridge Cemetery
