Biography: Elizabeth (Bessie) Kane was born to not sure of her father's first name, but according to her death certificate
her mother's name was Catherine Feeley and also according to her death certificate she was born in Baltimore County on May
23, 1861. She met and married Michael John Dorsey in 1882, not sure of the exact date, but according to the census it was
sometime in 1882. Bessie and Michael, according to the 1900 census, had seven children together,but we were only able to find
six. Michael died in 1900 leaving Bessie with small children. Bessie never remarried, but lived the rest of her life in Northwest
Baltimore with some of her children. She died on September 20, 1946 at the ripe old age of 85. the obituary taken out of the
Baltimore Sun Papers read as follows: Dorsey: ------ On September 20, 1946 Bessie C. (Kyne) aged 85 years the beloved wife
of the late Michael J. Dorsey. The funeral will be at her home 3026 West Garrison Avenue, on Tuesday
Requiem Mass at St. Ambrose's Church. Interment in New Catheral Cemetery. Due notice.
