Mary Aurelia Dorsey was my mother. She was a person of impeccable charcter. To her, what was right was right and what was wrong was wrong, There was no gray area to my mother. As my sister Cathy always says, that even though we were not rich, we were fortunate to have two parents who truly loved their children. My mother would help anyone who needed it, I can remeber the neighbor whom she would look after because she was to sick to take care of herself. She was always giving a helping hand at church. My Mother loved to laugh and have fun, many Friday or Saturday nights were spent down Aunt Grace's House where my mother and father, Aunt Grace and the Morans would dink a few beers and just have fun, but after she was taken sick in 1958 she became an inspiration to us all, the pain she suffered must have been intolerable, but she never complained. it has been almost forty years since her death but I often think about her and very much miss her. Mary Aurelia died on April 7, 1967, the cause of death was listed as heart insufficiency with secondary causes of myocardial infraction and HSCVD. Mary had been ill for approximately ten years before her death. In 1958 she had a major heart attack and a week after she was in the hospital she had a blood clot which almost caused her her life. To say the least Mary was a fighter, for the next ten years many illnesses brought her to death's door and she always managed to fight back, but in April 1967 she could not fight anymore and the Lord releived her of her suffering. Mary was laid to rest in New Catheral in Baltimore along with her husband George in the Yienger Family Plot. Along with Mary are buried my brother Charles and his wife Darlene's infant twins.
